The Eater

The Eater is a surreal gothic interactive story about grief, memory, suffering, and the dangerous beauty of carrying other people’s pain. Players wander an impossible rose garden tended by Edith, a mysterious woman who removes invisible thorns from the wounded and grows roses from their sorrow. But after dark, Edith consumes the flowers and inherits the memories buried inside them. As the garden spreads and the boundary between compassion and hunger begins to dissolve, players uncover a haunting mythology of love, trauma, identity, and remembrance. Blending literary horror, magical realism, dark fantasy, and emotional surrealism, The Eater is less a game than a dream you walk through slowly, one thorn at a time.
